Harry is studying for a Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration within the Medical Education Department. His apprenticeship is supported by Derby College.
Harry said: “I chose an apprenticeship to kick-start my career. I really like the opportunities that I am offered within my team and the responsibilities I am given. It’s fantastic that I can gain another qualification to add on to my CV whilst getting work experience at the same time.”
“My day to day jobs include general office admin, maintaining the department’s Twitter account and arranging rooms and catering for teaching sessions for the Junior Doctors.”
“Doing an apprenticeship has really helped me improve my time-keeping and organisation. It has also given me a great insight in to the working environment.”
“I would recommend doing an apprenticeship as it is an excellent way to gain hands on experience and develop yourself as a professional, it is a good route to take if you don’t think going to university would be your thing.”
